Art nouveau, Art deco at Préville cemetery: Memory and creation
Perched high above the city, the Préville cemetery is often referred to as Nancy's "Père-Lachaise". It is home to the graves of major figures in the École de Nancy and Lorraine arts, in a monumental setting featuring statues, chapels, stained glass and bronzes.
Among the outstanding Art Deco works, the Simon chapel, designed by Paul Charbonnier with the participation of Jean Prouvé and Jacques Gruber, illustrates the artistic excellence of these movements. A visit that combines heritage, memory and know-how.
