With over 12,000 species in cultivation, the Jean-Marie Pelt Botanical Garden is a veritable museum of plants, testifying to the extraordinary richness of the plant world.
Launched in 1975 in the south-west of Nancy, it has become one of France's most important botanical facilities.
In the heart of the 35-hectare park, the various collections offer a wide range of themes for discovery and amazement, from common garden plants to species from the most distant lands (alpinum, arboretum, rose garden, medicinal plants, historical and systematic collections, etc.).
In the 2,500 m² tropical greenhouses, the exuberant vegetation offers a permanent change of scenery. A simple visit quickly becomes an explorer's journey.
A new visitor application lets you discover the Botanical Garden in a fun and innovative way, combining games, videos and augmented reality around 4 trails (adults and children). It can be downloaded free of charge onto your smartphone or rented from the garden reception desk.
Several specialized collections (Araceae, Orchidaceae, succulents, insectivorous and myrmecophilous plants, Bromeliads...) are recognized for their importance and richness by the international scientific community.
Access to the garden is free of charge - access to the tropical greenhouses is subject to a fee.
