Who hasn't been fascinated by the teeming life of ants?
These insects astonish all observers: by their numbers, by their strength, by their resistance, by their social life, by the diversity of their lifestyles...
Ants hunt, cultivate, gather, care... They have invented animal husbandry and powerful scent communication systems. When it comes to defending themselves, ants bite, sting or spray formic acid, making them formidable. Observing ants in our natural environment is a source of a thousand surprises!
Stéphane VITZHUM, a naturalist photographer and SVT teacher at Nancy's Lycée Poincaré, with a passion for macro-photography, will introduce you to the astonishing world of ants, thanks to a selection of photographs based on 20 years of myrmecological observations, from our regions to tropical forests. Something for all nature and photography enthusiasts.
You are all cordially invited: bring your children and grandchildren, bring your neighbors...
The event takes place in Liverdun, in the Espace Champagne showroom on the plateau, opposite the shopping center, on Friday November 14, 2025 at 8pm, free admission.
