BEATRICE ALLARD CERAMISTE

After being a teacher for 15 years, Béatrice Allard decided to become a ceramist.

She opened her own workshop in October 2009. Eager to share her passion for pottery, she has been giving classes since September 2011.

She works with all materials available (earthenware, sandstone, porcelain) and uses different techniques (modelling, turning, pouring, stamping). The finishing touch is added to her creations with various techniques: raku, hot and cold smokings (with or without patina) and, naturally, glazing of earthenware or sandstone. Her work gains in uniqueness and richness thanks to the diversity of these techniques. Their combinations allowed her to find her own style and to innovate endlessly.

Her creations are very diverse: lamps, figurative or abstract sculptures, paintings, jars and kitchenware (crockery, vases, and plates), including jewellery as well.
