A third-generation carpenter, Michel Donnot was attracted to woodworking from a very young age. With a CAP diploma in Carpentry and Wood Sculpture, he complemented his technical training with a Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Interior Design at the École des Beaux-Arts de Nancy, now the ENSA Nancy.
Michel Donnot took over the family business in 1985 and manages the entire chain from his workshop, from the purchasing and cutting of hardwood and fruit-tree logs to the manufacture of various wooden items. Each creation is unique and production is tailored to the specific requirements and aims of each customer, offering them clever and innovative solutions.
After the design phase, including technical and artistic drawings, and the approval of the project by the customer, the cabinet-maker also produces furniture, cupboards, built-in kitchens, staircases and other fittings in the home, as well as smaller decorative objects.
Mr. Donnot has also been helping the Musée de l’École de Nancy by producing specific objects for temporary exhibitions and the educational workshops held for adults and children.
