47th Livre sur la Place
Le Livre sur la Place shows literature for what it is: a doubt as much as a hope. A confidence, sometimes. A step towards the other, always. But above all, freedom!
Guillaume Gallienne, eclectic actor, daring director and writer, the 513th member of the Comédie-Française, will be President of the 47th Livre sur la Place.
He has agreed to chair this new edition of Livre sur la Place, following in the footsteps of the great sociologist and philosopher Edgar Morin.
Guillaume Gallienne's talent, humor, sensitivity and ability to think outside the box have won him the hearts of a very wide audience. For over 10 years, he read hundreds of literary excerpts on Radio France, becoming a veritable conduit for texts. After the success of his first feature film Guillaume et les garçons à table ! in 2013, in which he delved into his childhood to question gender, he returns to his family roots. This time in his first book, Le Buveur de brume (Stock). A sensitive, delicate and melancholy tale in which he revisits his Georgian origins and family past.
